01 // Overview
Multi-Core Control Circuits
KVV is the base member of a multi-core PVC insulated, PVC sheathed control cable manufactured to IEC 60227 / GB/T 9330-2008. The construction is built around a rigid Class 2 stranded copper conductor rated at 450/750 V as standard — engineered for fixed indoor control wiring across switchrooms, MCCs, building management systems and lift/HVAC plant rooms. Up to 61 cores in a single cable, with colour-coded PVC insulated cores under a PVC outer sheath.
Day to day, the cable handles panel internal wiring, MCC auxiliary circuits, BMS sensor and actuator runs, plus switchroom protection / metering links. When a project requires a flexible 0.6/1 kV or international equivalent, the same production line can adapt the conductor class, voltage grade and drum marking so the delivered cable matches the drawings on arrival.

07 // FAQ
Engineer & Procurement FAQ
The questions ANPU receives most often from panel builders, EPC contractors and distributors before placing a control-cable order.
Is KVV the same as YY cable?
Functionally similar, but not identical in construction. KVV is the Chinese GB / IEC standard for an unscreened multi-core control cable with a rigid Class 2 stranded copper conductor rated at 450/750 V. YY (YSLY) is the international VDE / EN equivalent, built with a flexible Class 5 fine-stranded conductor at 0.6/1 kV, with a grey sheath. ANPU produces both — KVV as standard and YY / YSLY as a customised order on the same line.
Is KVV a flexible cable?
No. The standard construction uses a Class 2 stranded rigid conductor for fixed indoor installation ? cable tray, conduit and wall runs that do not move. For panel internal wiring, drag-chain runs and other movable applications, specify a flexible derivative or an international flexible construction.
How do the main constructions differ?
Start with the rigid unscreened base construction, then choose the required feature: fine-stranded conductors for flexibility, copper-braid screening for EMI protection, both features together for movable screened routes, or steel-tape armour for buried and crush-risk installations.
What is the rated voltage of KVV?
450/750 V is the standard catalogue rating per IEC 60227 / GB/T 9330 in the great majority of sizes. For projects specifying 0.6/1 kV — typical of European EPC and Middle Eastern drawings — ANPU supplies a customised dual-rated version, with both voltage classes marked on the drum and test certificate. State the required rating with your enquiry.
Can KVV be directly buried underground?
Standard unarmoured PVC control cable should not be directly buried because it has no crush protection against soil, stones or excavation. Pull it through a pre-installed duct, or use the armoured construction designed for direct burial.
What is the MOQ and lead time?
MOQ is flexible and depends on cross-section, core count and customisation level ? trial orders supported. Typical lead time is 7?15 working days for the standard construction and 10?20 working days for customised derivative or international-equivalent builds. Contact sales to confirm availability for your timeline.
