PVC Control Cable, Built in Our Own Wuhan Plant Since 1998

Screened and unscreened copper control cable for panels, trays, PLC and DCS circuits. Stranding, extrusion, braiding, testing and drumming all run inside one 30,000 m² plant, to IEC 60227, IEC 60228 and GB/T 9330.

Send the model, core count and cross-section. Our engineers return a technical datasheet with the quotation.

Control Cable Products

Unscreened

KVV runs Class 2 stranded copper for fixed wiring in panels, trays and conduit. KVVR runs Class 5 fine-stranded copper where the cable is pulled through tight bends or moves in service.

KVV: PVC Insulated PVC Sheathed Control Cable

  • Structure: Annealed Copper (Class 1 or 2) / PVC Insulation / PVC Sheath (Non-screened).
  • Standards: Manufactured in accordance with IEC 60227, IEC 60228, and GB/T 9330.
  • Common Equivalents: NYY-O (European), Tray Cable (TC) equivalent, and similar to PLTC for higher voltage applications.
  • Application: Optimized for fixed installation in control panels, cable trays, and conduits. It is ideal for transmitting low-energy signals in non-interference environments. To determine the most suitable conductor size for your specific load, we recommend using our Wire Size Calculator.

KVVP: PVC Insulated PVC Sheathed Screened Control Cable

  • Structure: Annealed Copper (Class 2 or 5) / PVC Insulation / Copper Braid Screen / PVC Sheath.
  • Standards: Manufactured in accordance with IEC 60227, GB/T 9330, and BS 5308.
  • Common Equivalents: LiYCY, NYCY, and CY control cable.
  • Application: Specifically engineered for EMI/EMC protection. The high-density copper braid shield minimizes signal interference, making it the preferred choice for PLC, DCS, SCADA, and noise-sensitive instrumentation circuits in automated industrial environments.

Selection Comparison Table

Cable Type Shielding & Construction Standards & Equivalents Typical Installation

KVVP Copper Braid Screen LiYCY, NYCY, CY Cable PLC/DCS, EMI protection, automation
What are the typical international equivalents for KVV and KVVP cables?

In global sourcing, KVV is commonly used as an equivalent to NYY-O and Tray Cable (TC) for fixed signal circuits. KVVP, featuring a copper braid shield, corresponds to European LiYCY, NYCY, and CY control cables, which are essential for EMI-sensitive PLC and DCS applications.

In modern industrial facilities, electromagnetic interference (EMI) from nearby power lines or motors can distort control signals. KVVP’s copper braid screen acts as a critical barrier, ensuring data integrity and preventing system errors or machinery downtime in automated lines.

Yes. Our standard PVC control cables meet IEC 60332-1-2 flame retardancy. Depending on project requirements, we can also provide enhanced versions that support higher fire performance levels, such as Category A (IEC 60332-3-22) and Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) options.

Yes. We can manufacture multi-core control cables with various core counts and cross-sections according to your project’s specific requirements. Typical configurations range from 2 to 37 cores (with higher counts available on request) and cross-sections from 0.75mm² to 10mm².

Please provide the required model (KVV/KVVP), core count, conductor cross-section, and any specific standards (e.g., BS 5308). Our engineering team will match the appropriate design and send a technical datasheet and factory-direct price within 24 hours.
